Farid is the Founder and Managing Partner of CFO Consulting Indonesia. Farid is also a 2 time start up founder. The first one, a D2C Brand that currently has an annual 8 Million USD revenue and has successfully raised capital until its series A. The second one, Restock Group, A P2P lending company that has funded more than USD 100 million for SME since its inception.

Beside managing CFO Consulting, Farid is also a majority shareholder in an Indonesia Insurance company and is an active angel Investor in the Blockchain and Web3 solana space.

  • CFO consultants have been working in Indonesia since 2008. With backgrounds ranging from investment banking, tech startup, consumer banking, strategic management, financial consulting, and digital advertising agency.
  • Our early projects involved helping startup companies in their growth phase as well as venture capitals in their investment process. These works involved financial & tax reviews, fundraising strategies, feasibility studies, licensing and business planning support etc. This led to acquisition/due diligence work and product development/other technical support at the early stages of operations.
  • More recently we have been involved in a wider range of projects including mergers & acquisitions, strategic coaching & reviews, financial reporting, independent business valuation, forensic audit, product development, competitor benchmarking, operational reviews, etc.
  • Our consultants have worked on over 20 projects over the past year. These have involved high profile transactions, including Tolaram (IPO - seller), Glints (Series B - buyer), and most of the prior transactions related to the startup retail businesses including Brodo. In addition this year, we were engaged to support on the valuation work in relation of the acquisition of Altera by Johnson&Johnson.
  • We have served as the appointed consultants of several international VCs (Monk’s Hills & Bamboo Capital Partners) and have been engaged as outsourced CFO service providers for many startups (Brodo, Escapex, Torch, Pakde, HijabChic, Visval, Hijack, etc).
  • For Brodo, our consultants initially worked as part of the management, helping the brand to setup the financial, HR, and manufacturing platform. The role involved building the new company from scratch including recruiting the management team, financial & accounting team, technology team and support staff, training all of these staff, developing products to match customer segments and creating promotional activity to support launch then ongoing help to integrate the offline store branches and franchises. From launch, the company quickly achieved momentum, rising to one of the most successful retail e-commerce brand within a couple years and is still considered to be the leading retail e-commerce brand in Indonesia, raising up to Series B.
  • We have advised many startup companies in roles covering tasks such as financial model implementation, production model implementation, fundraising and M&A support (sell side and buy side, conducting due diligence).
